On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 8:47 a.m., Arkansas State Police (ASP) responded to a shooting that occurred on Interstate 49 Northbound at the 91-mile marker. A motorist driving a white Ford van with ladders was shot three times.
The motorist, who was able to pull over onto the shoulder to call 911, reported that shots were fired from a newer model black Dodge Durango with tinted windows. He was transported to Washington County Regional Medical Center for treatment.
