Naloxone Protocol

Naloxone (Narcan®) is a drug that can be used in emergency overdose situations to temporarily reverse the effects of opiates, opioids, and some other drugs.

Act 284 of 2017 allows pharmacists to administer or dispense Naloxone under certain circumstances. The Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy has issued a Naloxone Protocol and other information to provide guidance in these instances.
