Task Force Committees and Purposes:
Outreach and Awareness
Develops language, messaging, and media to be used in coordinating public interfacing activities for the Council including: all advertising, print materials, event promotion, and Web presence. The outreach committee works to develop partnerships and collaborate with local groups and organizations to promote antitrafficking awareness, education, training, and victim identification
Strategic Planning and Trafficking Protocol
Makes recommendations for standard operating procedures and protocols for the Council. Develops and revises strategic plan with all partners.
Training
Creates common training involving experienced trainers from a variety of fields, including law enforcement, victim services, victim impact/survivor consultants, and other specialized service providers such as legal assistance or mental health. They review and create trainings for accuracy and train groups across various sectors
Victim Service
Established to ensure meaningful services are available to all victims of HT in AR regardless of gender, age, race, or demographics. They will create resource maps and referral lists to identify existing providers and gaps in services.
Law Enforcement
Made up of local, state, and federal and law enforcement. In each meeting, the law enforcement solicits leads for and facilitates discussion of potential investigations and reviews a list or case log of matters and cases at various stages.
Survivor
The survivor leader provides needed input due to their lived experiences and self-determination and will be able to lead the council in reviewing and adjusting policies, guidelines, and services to ensure all efforts are survivor informed.
Survivor Leader conduct Survivor group meetings to review, cocreate, and inform agencies’ training materials and procedures as they relate to service provision and the administration of justice in HT cases.
