This podcast is a valuable resource for law enforcement professionals in Arkansas, promoting community and connection among its listeners. Each episode explores essential topics such as effective leadership practices, updates on legal standards and training and the significance of mental and physical wellness in the demanding field of law enforcement. The podcast will also feature roundtable discussions with law enforcement professionals on topics related to law enforcement and debriefs on critical incidents.
The bi-monthly 10-8 podcast empowers law enforcement personnel, fostering a culture of support and excellence through engaging discussions and expert insights.
The podcast is hosted by CLEST Director Chris Chapmond, who has nearly 30 years of experience in various roles, including patrolman, detective, narcotics investigator, SWAT operator, public information officer, and warrants officer.
Director Chapmond is joined by co-hosts Deputy Directors Eric Wacaster and Jason Lawrence. Together, they have over 30 years of combined experience in law enforcement. Both are certified instructors in multiple areas and have extensive knowledge of the judicial court system.
“We invite our law enforcement partners to engage in discussions to enhance professional skills and build stronger relationships between officers and the communities we serve,” Director Chapmond said. “The goal is to equip officers with the knowledge and resources they need to excel in their roles and positively contribute to their departments and the public we protect.”
The podcast takes its name from the law enforcement code 10-8, which is used to indicate when an officer is “in service.”
