The Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA) presented the Arkansas Medical Examiner’s Office with an ARORA Donation Champion Award for its work in saving and restoring lives. During the past 15 years, 681 lives have been saved and 758 organs have been recovered through the partnership between the Arkansas Medical Examiner’s Office and ARORA.
In addition to the ARORA award, Arkansas State Crime Lab Director and Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Theodore Brown was presented with the Outstanding Service Award by the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) for his service to the organization and for his significant contributions to the advancement of the medicolegal death investigation in the United States.
Dr. Brown, who became Director of the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in October, will join the NAME Board of Directors next month.
