SPRINGDALE, Ark. – The Northwest Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy (NW-ALETA) held the Basic Class 2024-A Graduation ceremony on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Har-Ber High School PAC Facility in Springdale. A total of 13 law enforcement agencies in Northwest Arkansas had officers and deputies participate in the academy. The class underwent intensive training in various areas, including law enforcement procedures, firearms training, defensive tactics, and community policing.
Officer David Spring from the Bella Vista Police Department was awarded both the Physical Fitness Award and the Academic Excellence Award, while Deputy Cole Vantine from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office earned the Firearms Award.
During the graduation ceremony, the new officers were commended for their dedication, hard work, and commitment throughout the academy. They were reminded about the importance of integrity and professionalism in law enforcement and were encouraged to build strong relationships with the communities they serve.
