Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division are continuing their work this afternoon to collect evidence and question witnesses in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Walmart Store located at 205 Deaderick Road, Forrest City. A gunman was killed and two local law enforcement officers were wounded inside the store during an exchange of gunfire.

The agents will document and collect all evidence related to the incident. The case file will be presented to the St. Francis County Prosecuting Attorney who will determine whether the use of deadly force by law enforcement officers today was consistent with Arkansas laws.
