Lieutenant Paulette Ward, 46, of Little Rock, commander of the Arkansas State Police Office of Professional Standards was promoted to the rank of captain today during a meeting of the Arkansas State Police Commission.
Five recommendations for promotions were presented to the commission for consideration by Colonel Bill Bryant, Director of the Arkansas State Police.
Captain Ward is a nineteen year veteran and will continue in her role as OPS commander.
Sergeant Kim Warren, 54, of Russellville has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
Lieutenant Warren is a twenty-three year veteran of the department and has most recently served as a field supervisor assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division. Lieutenant Warren will assume duties as commander of the Arkansas State Police, Criminal Investigation Division, Company E.
Sergeant Dennis Morris, 59, of Arkadelphia has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
Lieutenant Morris, is a twenty-two year veteran of the department, and has most recently served as a field supervisor within the Criminal Investigation Division. Lieutenant Morris will assume duties as commander of the Arkansas State Police, Criminal Investigation Division, Company C.
Corporal Mike Gunnett, 50, of Vilonia has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.
Sergeant Gunnett is a nineteen year veteran of the department and is currently assigned to the Arkansas State Police Training Section. He will remain there as a section supervisor.
Corporal Matt Williams, 45, of Perryville, has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.
Sergeant Williams is an eighteen year veteran of the department and is currently assigned to the Arkansas State Police Training Section. He will now assume post supervisor duties within Highway Patrol Division, Troop J.
