The Arkansas State Police Commission has approved the recommendations for the promotions of Highway Patrol Division Troop Commanders and a Troop G Post Supervisor.
Lieutenant Scott Woodward, 56, of Drew County, was promoted to the rank of captain and will assume new duties as commander of Highway Patrol Division, Troop F headquartered at Warren.
Captain Woodward is a twenty-three year veteran of the department and most recently has served as commander of Criminal Investigation Division, Company B.
Lieutenant Todd Shaw, 46, of Izard County, was promoted to the rank of captain and will assume new duties as commander of the Highway Patrol Division, Troop B, headquartered at Newport.
Captain Shaw is a twenty-one year veteran of the department and most recently has served as assistant Troop B commander.
Corporal Zach Owens, 36, of Hot Spring County, was promoted to the rank of sergeant and assumes new duties as a Highway Patrol Division, Troop G, post supervisor.
Sergeant Owens is a twelve year veteran of the department and most recently has been assigned to patrol duties in Highway Patrol Division, Troop K.
The recommendations for promotion were presented to the commission today by Colonel Bill Bryant, Director of the Arkansas State Police.
