The decomposed body of a female was discovered earlier today at 703 Delaware Bay Road northwest of Dardanelle near the Yell and Logan County line.
A request was received this afternoon from authorities within the Logan County Sheriff’s Department requesting assistance of Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division. The state police will now lead the investigation relating to the death.
The remains of the woman are being transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to confirm identity and determine the manner and cause of death.
