(LITTLE ROCK) – Captain Mark Hollingsworth, 56, of North Little Rock was promoted to the rank of major today. He is a thirty-one year veteran of the Arkansas State Police.
The nomination for promotion was presented for consideration to the Arkansas State Police Commission today by Colonel Bill Bryant, state police director. The commission approved the promotion and two others during a regularly scheduled meeting.
Major Hollingsworth will continue in his role as commander of the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
Sergeant Kevin Richmond, 54, of Springdale, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Richmond is a twenty-seven year veteran of the department.
Lieutenant Richmond will assume command of Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division, Company D.
Corporal Philip Hydron, 45, of Brinkley, was prompted to the rank of sergeant. Hydron is a thirteen year veteran of the department.
Sergeant Hydron will assume new duties as a Crittenden County post supervisor assigned to Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol Division, Troop D.
