MARIANNA, Ark. — On Thursday, August 13, 2026, Jeremiah Keundre Harris, 20, of Marianna, pleaded no contest in Lee County Circuit Court to Second-Degree Murder in connection to the October 2024 shooting death of Danny Jordan, 25, of Marianna. Harris was sentenced to 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

The Marianna Police Department (MPD) requested that the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) investigate the homicide that occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at South Pointe Apartments located on California Street.

Upon responding to reports of gunfire at the location, MPD officers found Jordan in an open doorway of an apartment with apparent gunshot wounds. The Lee County coroner pronounced Jordan deceased at the scene.

Special Agents with ASP CID arrested Harris on October 17, 2024.
