PARKIN, Ark. — On Monday, October 6, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Arkansas State Police (ASP), in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center, responded to reports of a missing/overdue aircraft near the intersection of State Highways 75 and 306, west of Midway.
Memphis Air Traffic Control lost radar contact and communications with the aircraft while it was traveling from New Orleans to Jonesboro. Around 6 p.m., following a coordinated search with personnel from Arkansas Game and Fish and local fire departments, ASP located the missing aircraft, a Cessna 210B, in a marshy area south of Highway 306 outside Parkin.
The crash resulted in the deaths of all three aboard. The deceased have been identified as the pilot, Bob Clark Bolton Jr., 65, of Heber Springs; and passengers Stanley Mitchell, 52, and Michael Montgomery, 56, both of Jonesboro.
The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) personnel have responded to the scene and have begun a formal investigation into the cause of the accident.
