The Arkansas State Police Commission has approved the recommendation received today from Colonel Bill Bryant, Director of the Arkansas State Police, to promote Corporal Brandon Margis to the rank of Sergeant.

  Sergeant Margis, 32, of Hot Springs, is a seven year veteran of the department and will accept new duties supervising a Highway Patrol Division, Troop H post.  Troop H is headquartered at Fort Smith.  Sergeant Margis most recently was assigned to patrol duties in Troop K headquartered at Hot Springs.
