TEXARKANA, Ark.– The Texarkana Texas Police Department has asked ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to investigate an officer-involved shooting that took place in a parking lot off Nash Thompson Lane in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Officers with the Texarkana Texas Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety attempted to serve a federal warrant on Henry Milligan, 27, for charges relating to narcotics.

During Milligan’s arrest, an officer fired their service weapon, striking Milligan in the abdomen. He was transported to a hospital in Texas for treatment and is currently in stable condition.  

Additional information may be released as it becomes available.  

An investigative case file will be presented to the prosecuting attorney, who will determine whether the use of deadly force was consistent with Arkansas law.
