HOLLY GROVE, Ark. — On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Holly Grove Police Department (HGPD) requested the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to investigate a shooting that occurred at the intersection of Dr. Herd Stone and Smith streets. The incident left one dead, and two others hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
Officers arrived at the scene and found Shanautica Parks, 24, of Stuttgart wounded by gunfire. She was pronounced dead by the Monroe County Coroner. A 49-year-old Stuttgart man and a 19-year-old woman from England, Ark., were transported to hospitals in Little Rock and Stuttgart, respectively, with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.
The deceased will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the manner and cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
