EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. — At the request of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a double homicide following the discovery of two deceased individuals in the 3000 block of West Highway 62, just east of Eureka Springs.
On Friday, November 14, 2025, Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a welfare check at the address where they located the bodies of Joy Bennett Willmeth, 77, and Robert Leo Willmeth, 71. Both victims appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.
The bodies will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
